Shockwave Therapy or Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) as it is also known as is a non-invasive technology that delivers sound waves to the required area to aid recovery. Shockwaves are high-energy, audible sound waves. Throughout the 1980’s shock waves were used in medicine for the dissolution of kidney stones among other things.
