Daniel Meade

Dan is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and completed his BSc in Sports Therapy before going on to complete his MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Reg). He currently works as an Acute Team Lead within the Acute and Emergency Medicine Departments at Hampshire Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust.

Dan has a comprehensive background both within the NHS acute and outpatient settings. Dan has also worked in professional sport having worked previously within the MK Dons and Portsmouth Football Club Academies. Dan provides a hands-on and exercise-based approach, priding himself on his passionate, flexible, and personalised approach to all those under his care.

When not working Dan’s passions include football and running (5 and 10 kilometre distances). Subsequently, having a keen interest in lower limb injuries in runners.

Hugo Carvalheiro BSc (Hons) MCSP HCPC

Hugo Carvalheiro

Hugo qualified in 2013 in Portugal. Since then, he has worked in various different MSK settings, including NHS, private clinics and sports academies.

Over the years he has specialised in Musculoskeletal and Sport related injuries, with a special interest in Extracorporeal Shockwave Treatment (ESWT).

He is highly motivated and committed not only to help his patients achieve their goals but also to help his team improve and provide the best possible care.

Outside work, Hugo loves to travel, going to festivals and playing guitar.

Sarah Neaves (Grad Dip Phys) MCSP MAPPI HCPC – Registered Physiotherapist

Sarah Neaves

Sarah qualified in 1986 from Guys Hospital School of Physiotherapy. After working in  London hospitals for 4 years, she gained further experience at RNH Haslar, Exmouth hospital, GP medical practice and MOD in Germany, before joining DDB Physiotherapy Clinic in 2008

She has developed her skills within musclo-skeletal assessment and treatment of joint and soft tissue conditions, with a special interest in spinal pain; ergonomics and core stability. She is also a fully certified Pilates instructor with the APPI (The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) and teaches in a class or 1:1 settings.

 

Outside work, Sarah enjoys keeping fit with Pilates, running and tennis.

Suzy Brooker BSc (Hons) MCSP AACP HCPC

Suzie

Suzy is a highly competent physiotherapist who employs a solution-driven approach to help you quickly recover from pain and injury. Suzy’s physiotherapy expertise, thorough approach and gracious personality make her someone you’d want to work with in your rehabilitation.

Specialisation:  Suzy has post graduate qualifications and experience in orthopaedics and hydrotherapy which she uses in the management of sports injuries and all problems involving the joints, bones and muscles.  Suzy specialises in Fractures/Sprains/Strains, Post-Orthopaedic Surgery including ACL and joint replacement rehabilitation, Complex Pain Syndromes and Rheumatological conditions. Suzy has also able to deliver acupuncture and is registered with the AACP. She is also happy to rehabilitate patients in their own homes.

Other Experience

Suzy graduated in physiotherapy from The University of Southampton in 2003 with honours. She started her career at Portsmouth Hospitals working in a variety of locations and fields. Including respiratory, neurological and elderly rehabilitation. She specialised in orthopaedics in 2016 and worked at the Royal Hospital Haslar and Queen Alexandra  Hospital working closely with the orthopaedic consultants. Alongside NHS work Suzy also worked for London Irish Rugby and for the Hampshire rugby development squad. She has worked at DDB since 2012 on and off due to the birth of her two young children. Suzy now works part time at DDB Physiotherapy which fits around her two young children.

Sport

Suzy has always loved sport. Swimming at national level as a teenager and at international level as a Master. Unfortunately, she does not get much time for that with at present but enjoys high intensity interval training at the moment.

Jenny Cooper MSc MCSP POGP HCPC

Jenny

Jenny is a highly competent musculoskeletal physiotherapist who employs a solution driven approach to help quickly recover from pain and injury. Jenny’s physiotherapy expertise, thorough approach and gracious personality make her someone you’d want to work with in your rehabilitation

Specialisation:  Jenny is a Women’s Health physiotherapist specialising in the treatment of gynaecological conditions and pelvic floor dysfunction including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis of rectus abdominus muscles, post-natal pelvic floor exercise and return to fitness advice.

Other Experience:  Jenny gained 6 years NHS experience at Royal Berkshire-Reading, Epson General, Guys Hospital and St Thomas London. Jenny then worked in private practice for over 10 years and joined DDB Physiotherapy Clinic in 2010

Sport: Jenny enjoys sailing, hiking and running. Regularly participates in 10k to ½ marathon distance and recently raised money for the MacMillan charity completing 26 miles of Cotswold way.

Never is a personable and highly-experienced chartered physiotherapist of more than 20 years of working as a clinician in a variety of clinical settings and caseloads. He is committed to delivering high quality and effective patient-centered care to patients with a variety of conditions and has special interest in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. His highly developed clinical reasoning skills combined with a warm and friendly approach will help you quickly get back to your best condition.

Specialisation

Never specialises in the assessment and treatment/rehabilitation of Neurological conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Brain Injuries, etc. His vast experience of working with adults with severe/complex long-term conditions has given him expert skills in helping patients optimise their potential to achieve their goals. As such Never has highly developed skills in the assessment and management of patients with seating and 24-hour positioning needs.

Other Experience

Never started his physiotherapy career in Zimbabwe where he trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings for 9 years. Among other things Never has worked with 2 Premier League football teams in Zimbabwe before coming to the UK in 2003.  His experience in the UK includes spending a long time in the Not-for-profit sector working adults with severe physical disabilities.
