Suzy Brooker BSc (Hons) MCSP AACP HCPC
Suzy is a highly competent physiotherapist who employs a solution-driven approach to help you quickly recover from pain and injury. Suzy’s physiotherapy expertise, thorough approach and gracious personality make her someone you’d want to work with in your rehabilitation.
Specialisation: Suzy has post graduate qualifications and experience in orthopaedics and hydrotherapy which she uses in the management of sports injuries and all problems involving the joints, bones and muscles. Suzy specialises in Fractures/Sprains/Strains, Post-Orthopaedic Surgery including ACL and joint replacement rehabilitation, Complex Pain Syndromes and Rheumatological conditions. Suzy has also able to deliver acupuncture and is registered with the AACP. She is also happy to rehabilitate patients in their own homes.
Other Experience
Suzy graduated in physiotherapy from The University of Southampton in 2003 with honours. She started her career at Portsmouth Hospitals working in a variety of locations and fields. Including respiratory, neurological and elderly rehabilitation. She specialised in orthopaedics in 2016 and worked at the Royal Hospital Haslar and Queen Alexandra Hospital working closely with the orthopaedic consultants. Alongside NHS work Suzy also worked for London Irish Rugby and for the Hampshire rugby development squad. She has worked at DDB since 2012 on and off due to the birth of her two young children. Suzy now works part time at DDB Physiotherapy which fits around her two young children.
Sport
Suzy has always loved sport. Swimming at national level as a teenager and at international level as a Master. Unfortunately, she does not get much time for that with at present but enjoys high intensity interval training at the moment.
